ARE YOU AN 'ANABOLIC' OR 'CATABOLIC' LEADER?
We all have our own mix of these energies, or emotions - energy in motion - at any given time, ranging from ‘catabolic’ victim energy to ‘anabolic’ visionary energy.READ MORE
Picture someone you know who is in a position of leadership, and who always seems to be in a bad mood - how quickly can you feel the tension when they walk in the room? How does this person's impact spill over into everyone else's mood and level of productivity? This is 'catabolic' energy.
Catabolic leadership creates an environment that fosters burnout, demotivation, resentment, disengagement.
It's unsustainable - and sadly, it's the predominant energy in the world today, particularly the corporate world.
Now, picture a leader who has the ability to motivate and inspire others to do extraordinary things, influence positive outcomes, and create incredible change within every area of their life. That’s anabolic energy. It is constructive and fuels creativity. I refer to this as Visionary-energy: you have the capacity to expand your thoughts, feels and actions. You intuitively know that life is happening for you.
Anabolic leadership creates an environment where people have the ability to motivate themselves and others to do extraordinary things and to become creative and connected leaders. Now that's sustainable.

THE ENERGY LEADERSHIP™ INDEX (ELI) ASSESSMENT
You’ve taken personality tests – now it’s time for your attitudinal assessment!
Personality tests can help you understand yourself up to a point – they are more of a ‘work with what you have' approach.
My experience is they put you into a box.
I’m all about getting you out of the box!
And that’s why I love the ELI. It is different. And it’s transformational.
Rated by Forbes as one of the top three assessments for executives, this proprietary, research-backed, attitudinal assessment takes something abstract, like the way you view the world and turns it into something tangible - a metric that you can see and feel and even reevaluate in the future.
The result of this 20-minute online assessment is your E-Factor™ - the indicator of your current level of consciousness and success in life.
There are seven different levels of consciousness, or awareness of self and life, with the first two levels being catabolic (negative or destructive) and the next five being anabolic (positive or constructive).
*The ELI is only available through an iPEC Certified Coach.
“LEADERS MUST EITHER. INVEST A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME ATTENDING TO FEARS AND FEELINGS, OR SQUANDER AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TRYING TO MANAGE INEFFECTIVE AND UNPRODUCTIVE BEHAVIOUR."
THE 7 LEVELS OF ENERGY - FROM VICTIM TO VISIONARY
Using the metaphor of winning and losing you can see how we use the seven different energy levels to describe the types of energy a person experiences and expresses.
Level 7: Complete passion for all aspects of life. Oneness. Winning and losing are an illusion.
Level 6: Intuition. Creative genius. The space of brilliant visionaries. Everyone always wins.
Level 5: Reconciliation. There’s no good or bad or right or wrong. We both win.
Level 4: Care. Compassion. Service to others. Need to fix. It’s all about you winning.
Level 3: Rationalising. Tolerating. Responsibility. I win. If you win too, great.
Level 2: Anger. Resentment. Resisting or fighting energy. I win. You lose.
Level 1: Lack of choice. Victim energy. Disappointment. You win. I lose.
Each type of energy has inherent advantages and disadvantages and you can consciously use them to reach specific goals.

Working artistically with the Mandala you will uncover insights and solutions that talking-only coaching cannot deliver.
Swiss psychologist Carl Jung worked extensively with the Mandala to make “the unconscious conscious”.
Simply put, Mandalas help us to become aware of something deeper inside us that we weren’t aware of before. They are a powerful tool to help us experience and reflect on the essence of who we are in the here and now.
Above all, Mandalas are a symbol of wholeness. They help us bring together the fragmented pieces of ourselves – some pieces we are already aware of and others, we’re not. This is vital in helping us to make sense of who we truly are.
A number of studies have shown colouring inside a shape, specifically a pre-drawn mandala, is more effective in boosting mood and reducing anxiety compared to colouring on a plain, blank piece of paper or even inside a square shape.
Loosely translated from the original Sanskrit word meaning ‘circle’ Mandalas are found among the most ancient art forms created by human beings. It doesn’t matter how old you are, what your background, nationality or spiritual path is or isn’t – anyone can benefit from working creatively with the Mandala.
HOW DOES ART IMPACT OUR BRAIN?
No matter what your skill level, making art...
Lowers cortisol - Decreases stress and anxiety.
Increases serotonin - Positively impacts mental health and emotional well-being.
Actively processes emotions - Line, shape and colour translate your emotional experience into a visual language you can dialogue with. Words often aren’t able to express the depth of our real feelings and emotions. Art does.
Raises awareness - Of observing your thoughts without judgement.
Causes a state of flow - Increases attention, creativity, innovative thinking, improved performance and deep focus and engagement.
Change your perspective.
‘The Labyrinth of Creative Potential’ is an inspirational and thought-provoking story on how the labyrinth can help bring a new and transformational perspective to your life journey.
A labyrinth is not a maze. Labyrinths have one path that winds in a circuitous way to the centre and then back out again. The practice of labyrinth walking, or drawing, integrates the body with the mind and the mind with the spirit.
The labyrinth is an ancient pattern found in many cultures around the world. They have been used from the Neolithic period all the way through to modern times and are open to all people as a non-denominational, cross-cultural blueprint for well-being.
Labyrinths can be found in medical centres, parks, churches, schools, prisons, memorial parks, spas, cathedrals and retreat centres as well as in people's backyards. They are currently being used world-wide as a way to quiet the mind, recover a balance in life, and encourage meditation, insight, self-reflection, stress reduction, and to discover innovation and celebration.
